Kelsey Grammer’s Daughter Greer Named Miss Golden Globe 2015!

Kelsey Grammer‘s daughter Greer, 22, has been named Miss Golden Globe 2015, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced on Thursday, Nov. 20.
“[My parents are] both so excited. They were so happy for me. My mom, the first thing she said was, ‘What? That’s amazing!’ She knows how much I’ve wanted this for a couple of years now,” she said of Kelsey’s ex-girlfriend, Barrie Buckner.

“And my dad is super proud, I told him yesterday,” Greer told ‘Us Weekly‘ of the ‘Fraiser’ alum, 59. “He’s not the best at keeping secrets sometimes, so I told him yesterday and he was so over the moon and so happy about it.”
With the young star’s new role as Miss Golden Globe, Greer will be added to the long list of celebrity kids who have previously assisted in handing out the statuettes at the annual awards ceremony.
Last year, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s daughter, Sosie, was given the title and in 2013, Clint Eastwood’s daughter Francesca did the honors.

Greer — who is Kelsey’s second of six children — has followed in her famous father’s footsteps and is an accomplished actress. She’s best known for portraying high school cheerleader Lissa on the MTV series ‘Awkward,’ which premiered in 2011.
The 72nd Golden Globes will air live on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015 on NBC.
