Nothing can stop Kathie Lee Gifford from keeping in contact with all her friends! The 65-year-old TV personality gave dear pal Hoda Kotb a sweet shout-out after she found out the Today anchor recently adopted another baby girl.

“Hoda’s a momma again,” Kathie Lee, 65, gushed on The Five shortly after Hoda, 54, revealed the exciting news. “I’m thrilled about that. I knew that was coming. I just didn’t know when it was coming.”

Hoda announced that she adopted her daughter Hope Catherine Kotb during the April 16 episode of the Today show. “Do you have something to tell us?” Savannah Guthrie asked the new mom-of-two who eagerly replied, “Yes I do. It’s a girl!”

“[Hope] is laying on the pillow right now,” she gushed to her cohosts over the phone. “I’m feeding her. I can’t believe it. Like, I’m sitting here and, you know, you think that maybe you have gotten what you deserve, but man, I’m so happy she is here.”

Hoda added that her first daughter, Haley Joy Kotb, 2, adores being a big sister to Hope Catherine. “At breakfast she was trying to feed her raspberries,” Hoda joked. “I was like, ‘Not yet, babe.’ She was literally marching around saying, ‘I’m a big sister.’ … She did try to crawl into her bassinet.”

So why exactly did Hoda decide to name her new baby “Hope Catherine?” Well according to her, she wanted to name her daughter after someone very special. “Catherine is my best friend’s daughter’s name and it just so happens that this weekend when [Hope] was born, when we got her, it was also John’s birthday — my best friend’s husband who passed,” she told Savannah and Jenna Bush Hager over the phone on Today. “So it was a very emotional time for all of us and I said to Catherine, ‘you’re the strongest kid I know.'”

Congratulations on being a mom-of-two, Hoda!
