Princess Kate Is Radiant! See the Royal Beauty’s Effortless Transformation Through the Years
There’s no denying Princess Kate (née Middleton) is the ultimate package. Aside from being drop-dead gorgeous, the former Duchess of Cambridge and now Princess of Wales is also a caring activist, loving wife, amazing mom and inspiring royal. Over the years, fans have loved watching Kate transform from a typical college student to the future Queen of England.
The brunette beauty was born on January 9, 1982, to her parents, Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton. Kate grew up in the English county of Berkshire in the U.K. alongside her siblings, Pippa Middleton and James Middleton.
Following high school, Kate went on to study at the University of St Andrews in Scotland in 2001. It was there that she met and fell in love with her now-husband, Prince William. The two lived in the same dorm and shared a handful of classes together.
It wasn’t love at first sight for the adorable pair as it took about a year for the U.K. native and the Duke of Cambridge to become romantically involved. Throughout their years together, Kate was spotted joining William for many royal events and outings.
Sadly, the couple went their separate ways in 2007. However, their split didn’t last too long, and Will and Kate reunited less than two years later in 2009. By November 2010, the handsome hunk pleasantly surprised the world when he got down on one knee and asked for his lady’s hand in marriage.
The beloved royals made history when they tied the knot during an iconic royal wedding less than six months later in April 2011. Since then, Kate and William have become the proud parents of their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
We’ve watched Kate evolve into a devoted duchess, wife and mom, and passionate early childhood mental health and education advocate. But she’s currently gearing up for the next chapter in her life.
Following the September 8, 2022, death of Queen Elizabeth II, her husband’s father, Prince Charles, ascended to become King Charles III. One of his first orders of business as the new monarch was to elevate William and Kate to become the new Prince and Princess of Wales. William is now first in the line of succession to the throne, and when he becomes king, Kate will be his Queen Consort.
