So Exciting!Kate Middleton to Make First Public Appearance Since Announcing Her Pregnancy News
The Duchess of Cambridge, who announced her third pregnancy earlier in the month, will soon make her first public appearance. Kensington Palace has confirmed that Kate Middleton will attend an event at Buckingham Palace on World Mental Health Day, which is on Oct. 10.
She will be joined by her husband, Prince William, and brother-in-law, Prince Harry. In a statement, the palace said, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will attend a reception at Buckingham Palace on World Mental Health Day.” The event will celebrate those working in the mental health sectors across the UK and has already attracted an impressive array of guests. Among those are many from leading mental health organizations.
Kate, 35, has been forced to miss a number of events, including her son Prince George’s first day at school, due to an acute form of morning sickness known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum, the same condition she battled while pregnant with their four-year-old son, George, and two-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte.
Prince William recently opened up about the happy baby news, while also providing a quick health update on his wife of six years. “It’s very good news,” he said at a National Mental Health and Policing Conference in Oxford, England. “We need Catherine to get over this first bit and then we can start celebrating. It’s always a bit anxious to start with, but she’s well.” He later added, “There’s not much sleep going on at the moment.”
Kensington Palace announced that the beloved royal couple was expecting their third baby in a statement released on Sept. 4.”The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child,” the palace said. “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
“As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her royal highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today.” It concluded, “The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.” Congratulations again to the soon-to-be family-of-five!
