Kate Middleton and Prince William Are Taking Time Off From Their Royal Duties to Spend Time With their Kids

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are taking a week off from their royal engagements to spend some quality time with their kids! Since Prince George and Princess Charlotte‘s schools are closed for a half-term break this week, their parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, thought it would be great to take some time off work to spend quality time as a family.

Although William, 36, and Kate, 37, are apparently still deciding what activities they want to do with their kids — they’re also parents to 9-month-old son Prince Louis — during their break, it’s possible they might travel to the same place where they took their Christmas card photo last year, their country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk, England, and just enjoy some time away from the spotlight.

However, if they don’t leave London’s Kensington Palace, the royal family still has a lot of fun options. For example, Kate and William could stay at home and watch their 5-year-old son put on a cute ballet recital for them since he’s apparently taking dance classes at his school, St Thomas’s Battersea. According to Grazia Daily, George’s school’s website states that dance classes help “develop students’ physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression, and musicality, using a range of sounds and musical styles.”

In the past, William has even stated that his mom, Princess Diana, used to love dancing just like little George does. “My mother always used to dance,” he previously told a royal fan at a Kensington Palace reception. “She loved dancing and if it’s something you love, you do what you love. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. Keep at it.”

According to The Good Schools Guide, George’s school costs $23,000 per year and is “a big, busy, slightly chaotic school for cosmopolitan parents who want their children to have the best English education money can buy.” George’s sister, Charlotte, 3, has been going to Willcocks Nursery School, and, like her brother, she is “very passionate about art and music.”

“She has a strong personality and is the kind of little girl who knows what she wants and doesn’t let anything get in her way,” a source recently told Closer Weekly. “Charlotte is outgoing and oozes confidence.” We hope William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis have the best family week while they’re all off!
