Julianne Moore Stuns in Daisy Dukes While Celebrating 17th Anniversary With Husband Bart Freundlich
Julianne Moore proved she doesn’t need makeup or an expensive ensemble to look beautiful. The Still Alice star stunned in Daisy Dukes and a white T-shirt while celebrating her 17th wedding anniversary with her husband, Bart Freundlich.
“I said he should take a shower. He said my hair smelled bad, like mildew, or an old box,” Julianne, 59, jokingly wrote next to a cute photo of the loving couple on Sunday, August 23. “Happy 17th wedding anniversary, @freundlich96 — there is no one I’d rather be with everyday. I love you.”
In the celebratory snapshot, the Academy Award winner and the American film director, 50, were all smiles while donning comfy and casual clothing. Julianne and her handsome hubby pulled each other in for a close hug as they leaned against the side of a car.
Considering Julianne and Bart are both Hollywood stars, setting time aside to be together isn’t always easier. Fortunately, the adorable lovebirds always make sure to prioritize their marriage and family over gigs and other work.
“We have this narrative in our culture that if you want a career, you have to work hard, go to school, look for a job, you have to apply yourself, but love is supposed to just happen to you,” she explained to People in March 2019. “One day, you’re going to meet someone and get hit over the head and boom!”
Julianne joked that type of stuff “happens in romantic comedies,” but it’s much different when it comes to actually dating. “In real life, you have to make time,” she insisted. “When you find a person, you have to invest in them and that relationship. And that’s what love is.”
When the Boogie Nights actress walked down the aisle with Bart in 2003, she had no idea the beautiful life that was in store for her. “It was pretty unexpected,” she sweetly gushed over their enviable relationship. “It kept going, and now we have this huge history together. It’s true — that thing [they say] about love growing. It does and it gets way better.”
Aside from their unbreakable bond, the Golden Globe recipient and Bart are the proud parents of their two kids, 22-year-old Caleb and 18-year-old Liv. Julianne said raising her beloved children alongside the After The Wedding director has been one of her proudest accomplishments.
“You think, ‘Wow we did it!’” she marveled. “We are intact and we are happy.”
