Jessica Alba Gives Tour of $10 Million ‘Dream House’ She Shares With Husband Cash Warren and Their Kids
What a home! Jessica Alba is known for being quite the go-getter, and now the hard work has clearly paid-off for the Honest Company founder, as she recently gave her fans a tour of her massive home.
“This is our dream house!” the star tells Architectural Digest. The 38-year-old lives in the L.A. home with her husband, Cash Warren, and their three kids — daughters Honor, 10, Haven, 7, and son Hayes, 1. The couple, married since 2008, knew exactly the type of place they wanted to live in after living in the same place for almost a decade.
“We wanted a place to watch our kids play and grow up,” the Dark Angel alum tells the outlet, adding that she and her man were looking for a residence with more space and a big backyard. Upon stepping into their current home, Jessica knew instantly this was what she wanted.
“I thought, I have an imagination and I know what I want. I walked in and knew within 20 minutes, even though [the previous owners’ style] wasn’t our vibe, this was exactly what we were looking for,” she recalls. However, the place still needed some work.
“I was like, ‘I’m pretty much fine with everything; let’s just paint it!’ And then all of a sudden we walked into the house, and it had been stripped down to the studs. I mean, there were literally no walls!” the Fantastic Four star explained. “I said to Cash, ‘Did we know this was going to happen?’ And he said, ‘This explains the bill!’ ”Apparently you can’t just pop off crown moldings.”
“I thought, I have an imagination and I know what I want. I walked in and knew within 20 minutes, even though [the previous owners’ style] wasn’t our vibe, this was exactly what we were looking for,” she adds, revealing that renovations took a total of 18 months.
These days, while Jessica doesn’t act as much as she used to, she is still quite the busy business woman, and yet she never feels overwhelmed by her job and mommy duties. “You’re going to make mistakes,” she once shared with Us Weekly. “Try to learn from them. At the end of the day, if you’re doing your best, that’s all you can really do.”
She continued, “I have a great support system, and a great husband,” adding that she has a “great team” at her consumer goods company.
