Jennifer Lopez Talks Directing Her 10-Year-Old Daughter Emme In New Music Video: ‘We Really Bonded’
Like mother, like daughter! When Jennifer Lopez recently paid Jimmy Fallon a visit on The Tonight Show, she gushed about her 10-year-old daughter, Emme Muñiz, being in the music video for her song “Limitless,” which is featured in her latest movie, Second Act.
“My daughter Emme is in it,” J.Lo, 49, revealed. “She’s like, ‘Mom, I can do it,’ and I’m like, ‘Oh God.’ I said no for a long time and then finally I said yes. And I said, ‘Baby, are you sure? You can’t, halfway through, say you’re tired. You have to do it.'”
Once Jennifer saw that her daughter was serious about being in the first video that she directed, Jennifer got a little flustered. “I die. I die. I die,” she told Jimmy when she recalled the experience. “When you see the video, it’s so empowering for, just to see her doing this but, like, for women.”
Though “Limitless” doesn’t have a set release date yet, Jennifer said fans can likely expect to view the music video on the same day that Second Act hits theaters on Dec. 21 or a few days earlier. “It talks about being limitless, it talks about having second acts, it’s a beautiful message as well,” she said.
For Jennifer and Emme, shooting and creating “Limitless” was a “great” way for them to come together as mother and daughter. “We really bonded,” Jennifer gushed.
The actress attended the premiere of Second Act on Wednesday, Dec. 12 and looked completely fabulous wearing a hot pink Giambattista Valli dress. She walked the red carpet with her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, and her co-star Vanessa Hudgens. We can’t wait for Jen’s newest movie to hit theaters — and are so excited to see Emme in “Limitless,” too!
