When it comes to being 50, Jennifer Aniston isn’t having the usual middle age crises you might expect – in fact, she hasn’t felt any life-altering changes.

“Fifty was the first time I thought, ‘Well, that number,’” the Friends alum told InStyle in a new interview. “I don’t know what it is because I don’t feel any different. Things aren’t shutting down in any way. I feel physically incredible. So it’s weird that it’s all of a sudden getting telegraphed in a way that’s like, ‘You look amazing for your age.’ I think we need to establish some etiquette around that dialogue and verbiage.” Jennifer goes on to admit that she actually feels more in control than she ever has before.

“Women were never allowed to have power,” the actress told the outlet. “Power feels sexy to me today, as does women’s intelligence and how capable and creative they are.” Even at age 50, the A-lister continues to be one of the biggest stars in Hollywood — however, it was a longtime coming before she snagged the iconic role of Rachel Green in the NBC comedy.

“I had moved away from home. I had been on six failed television shows. I waitressed for years in New York before I got anything,” the Golden Globe winner recalled. “And I was a telemarketer selling time-shares in the Poconos. I didn’t make one sale. I was terrible at it. I was like, ‘Why do we have to call people at dinnertime?’” Fast-forward to today and Jennifer is a mega-star — and she of course still looks great, but she has her skincare routine to thank for the latter.

“I think it’s because my mom told me to start moisturizing when I turned 15,” the We’re the Millers star said. “I’ve been using Aveeno since I was a teenager. … My grandmother, at 98, had the most stunningly soft, gorgeous skin, and she would just put olive oil on her body.” Jennifer has opened up about her age in the past — she once attributed her looks to living a certain way.

“Happiness is the big key. My dad is 100 percent Greek, he barely has a wrinkle,” Jennifer once told Tig Notaro for Harpers Bazaar. “My life is a happy life. It’s a choice. It’s hard work, you know. You work out, you just take care of yourself and you exercise. You eat right, you sleep, you’re happy.”

Jennifer can next be seen looking fantastic in the Apple series, The Morning Show. We can’t wait!
