Helen Mirren Admits She Forgot Her Age: “I’m 72? This Is Fantastic!”

If only we could all forget our age like Helen Mirren! During the A-list actress' recent visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she revealed that she had no clue she was actually 72 years old!

"I think I’m 73! My husband and I, we forget," Helen exclaimed to host Ellen DeGeneres. "Are you sure? I’m 72? This is fantastic! I’ve just made a whole year. Because my husband and I thought we were 74 and then we worked it out and no, we’re 73. So we both went, 'Oh, fantastic, we’ve got a whole extra year!' And now I’ve got another year." How adorable is that?!

Ellen joked back with Helen. "[It] does seem like you’re aging, you don’t know your age. I was gonna say you look great but you’re losing it," she quipped.

Helen has been vocal about aging in the past even though she's not sure how old she is! In a previous exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, Helen shared her insight about life. "Be loyal and on time," she said. "And don’t be an a–hole!"

In another interview, she shared, "I don’t often wish that I’m younger because I think that it’s pretty cool to be older. What I love the most about being older is that lovely I don’t give a f–kness kind of thing." Helen added, "All you young things don’t be afraid of getting older because it’s f–king great, but tonight looking at this audience, I do wish I was about 40 years younger."

And even though she's not getting any younger, Helen has no plans to slow down! "I see myself stopping and not working almost every morning. I never want to go to a party, I want to stay at home and watch TV. I never want to go out to dinner, I want to stay at home and watch TV. I never want to go on Ellen, I want to stay at home and watch TV," she joked. You go, Helen!
