You go, girls! Hollywood icons Jane Fonda and Helen Mirren surprised fans by hitting the runway at L’Oréal’s Paris Fashion Week show on Sunday, Oct. 1 in France — and proved to the world that age is really just a number! For the special occasion, Jane, 79, looked gorgeous in a form-fitting animal print Balmain dress accessorized with a statement diamond necklace. Helen, 72, appeared similarly stunning in a bold, black coat paired with wide-legged, checkered pants, and simple jewelry.

Both Jane and Helen have been working with L’Oreal for years. The Grace & Frankie actress starred in her first campaign for the beauty brand back in September 2014 and Helen joined the company just a few months later. “I am not gorgeous and I never was, but I was always okay looking and I’m keen to stay that way,” Helen said at the time, according to the Daily Mail. “I have always loved the L’Oreal Paris brand, and I hope I can inspire other women towards greater confidence by making the most of their natural good looks. We are all worth it!” The Queen star continued. Jane has also candidly spoken out about embracing her age in the past. “I have a strong belief that older people have a greater sense of well-being. Older women, in particular, it’s like, ‘What the hell do we have to lose?'” she said in a recent interview.

“We all wonder what, if anything, we’re going to leave behind. My ability to understand what my life means — to put it in a way that can be meaningful to other people — that’s the gift I would leave behind. It’s the strangeness of my life that is the most important thing about me, more than any particular part of my work,” Jane continued.
