She’s loved and she’s lost, but Glenn Close has found love again. This time around, however, she’s found a more loyal companion. Instead of searching for another boyfriend or husband, The Wife star has been spending all her time with her beloved dog, Sir Pippin of Beanfield. “Glenn has truly never felt this happy in her 70-plus years and she owes it all to Pip,” an insider revealed exclusively to Closer Weekly in a recent interview.  “He’s the most loving, silly, pretty thing and he goes where she goes.”

Lucky for the Havanese pup — who goes by Pip for short — his 71-year-old owner sure does treat him like royalty. “She pampers him with jerky treats made from real salmon and he has his own designer luggage and bed when she travels,” the source shared. “He gets the first class comforts in life. He’s the most well-behaved pooch and has never nipped anybody, and he’s potty-trained.” They added, “Glenn tells her friends he’s a better listener than her exes.” Ha!

The Fatal Attraction actress has no kids, so having Pip keeps her in good company. In fact, Glenn has been running an Instagram account for her furry friend for the past few years and described Pip as her “only son” in the bio of the page.

And Pip is very proud of all the accomplishments his mom has made. Stepping out for the 2019 Santa Barbara International Film Festival on February 3, Glenn held Pip in her arms as the two strut their stuff up and down the red carpet. Posing for cute photos with her dog, Glenn and Pip donned big smiles as the pair looked cuter than ever.

It wasn’t until the Oscar-nominated actress accepted the Maltin Modern Master Award that Pip stole the show. While joined onstage with film critic Leonard Maltin for a career retrospective, Pip ran on stage and sat on Glenn‘s lap a little over 10 minutes into the interview. And while this wasn’t the first time Pip has stolen the spotlight, we assume it most definitely won’t be his last!
