Fans Think Reese Witherspoon’s Daughter Ava’s Boyfriend Looks Just Like Dad Ryan Phillippe — See the Resemblance!
Like mother, like daughter we suppose. Apparently, Ava Phillippe and mom Reese Witherspoon aren’t the only lookalikes here. In fact, fans say Ava’s new boyfriend, Owen Mahoney, bears a striking resemblance to her own dad, Ryan Phillippe, especially because of a new photo she shared to Instagram on Sunday, June 9.
In the sweet pic, Owen and Ava, 19, are seen embracing each other at Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. “This week,” Ava captioned the cute post, which has racked up the likes as fans quickly started to compare Owen to Ryan.
“He looks so much like your dad omg,” one of Ava’s followers commented. Another said, “Omg so cute … 😍that picture makes me remember when Reese&Ryan were together 😫😫😫😫❤️.” A third added, “Is it just me or does her new beau have a little bit of Ryan in him?”
Reese, 43, and Ryan, 44, tied the knot in 1999 but called it quits in 2007. Even though their relationship didn’t work out, Reese once admitted she “would never change anything” about her life and the time spent with Ryan.
“I got married when I was 23 and I had two kids by the time I was 27,” the Big Little Lies actress explained on ITV’s Lorraine show. “I don’t know, sometimes it’s good to know yourself [first].” Ryan and Reese are also proud parents to their 15-year-old son, Deacon. Reese went on to marry Jim Toth and they later welcomed their 6-year-old son, Tennessee, together.
“Kids are the best part of my day. I don’t wake up to make movies. I wake up to hang out with my family,” she told Glamour. Plus, being with Jim also makes her feel like anything is possible. “Anytime I feel defeated, my husband says, ‘Come over here, you’re the best! You’re going to do this movie, and you’re going to be great!’ Run away from a man who can’t handle your ambition. Run. So many men think ambition is awesome and sexy!”
