What a journey! After 16 years, Celine Dion has wrapped up her Las Vegas residency, and she went out with a bang, as she sang a new song titled “Flying On My Own” for her fans.

“I’m supposed to know what to say,” the 51-year-old told the 4,298 people that gathered for the hitmaker’s final show in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday, June 8. “I am very excited and I am a little bit emotional at the same time. This is our final show in this beautiful Colosseum in Las Vegas.”

“There are lots of wonderful memories, you know, but it’s kind of strange at the same time, because when they started to put it together I was here and it was like, ‘I don’t know.’ Then I must have misunderstood something because I thought I was going to be here for three months or something like this, and here we are 16 years later,” the “My Heart Will Go On” singer continued. “Maybe we have saved the best for last.”

During her farewell, the performer also mentioned her late husband, René Angelil, and how much he supported her through her incredible run in Vegas. “I’m both proud and humbled by what we’ve accomplished at the Colosseum since we began 16 years ago when René and I first shared this dream,” she explained.

“This entire experience has been a huge part of my show business career, one that I will cherish forever. I have so many people to thank, but the most important ‘thank you’ goes to my fans, who gave us the opportunity to do what we love,” Celine gushed.

The Grammy-winner wrapped up the show by inviting her children — René-Charles, 18, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 8 — up on stage.

So what is next for the Canadian powerhouse? Well, she may try her hand at Hollywood. “She’d like to take advantage of the offers coming her way,“ and “she’s been talking about acting,” an insider exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly.

After wowing Vegas for years, we are certainly ready to see what else Celine has up her sleeve!
