A compliment from one of the greats! Celine Dion is well known for her incredible vocals, but the Canadian singer is more impressed by a fellow musician: Lady Gaga.

“I love Lady Gaga,” the 51-year-old wrote for Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People feature. “And I think she’s got one of the greatest voices in the world: powerful, convincing, passionate and sensitive. She’s definitely one of the most inventive artists we’ve ever seen. Her artistic expression has no rules, no boundaries. When she first came on the scene with her outrageous style, she didn’t care what the critics said.”

“She marched to the beat of her own drum, knowing that her message of individuality was a way to express her inner strength,” the performer continued. Celine also gave the “Born This Way” singer, 33, kudos for always supporting the LGBTQ community and speaking out for them.

“Whether it’s her unstoppable support for the LGBTQ community or her anti-bullying campaigning, Lady Gaga’s voice is being heard where it really counts,” she added. “She will continue to inspire love and freedom around the world, for generations to come.”

Aside from both being at the top of many folks’ list of greatest singers today, the pair also share another thing in common: they’ve performed on the Las Vegas residency circuit. However, Celine is following another career path after her residency ends in June 2019 — and it’s something Gaga can relate to.

“She’s been talking about acting,” an insider exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly. “She’d like to take advantage of the offers coming her way.” Gaga is no stranger to the acting scene, having been nominated for Best Actress for A Star Is Born at the Academy Awards in February.

Whatever is in their future, one thing is for sure: Celine and Gaga show no signs of stopping anytime soon!
