A little over a week after it was confirmed that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk decided to break up after four years of dating, The Hangover actor was spotted out and about in New York City. The 44-year-old hunk kept it casual as he strolled around the West Village neighborhood on Tuesday, June 18.

After rampant rumors, Bradley and Irina — who first began dating in April 2015 and share 2-year-old daughter Lea — sadly called it quits in early June. Following their split, a source close to the former couple said it was because Bradley’s disconnect while during A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga.

“Bradley wasn’t able to be the partner Irina needed during the filming and promoting of A Star Is Born,” the source said of the actor’s directorial debut. “He was so focused on making sure it was perfect.”

The Oscar-winning actor looked relaxed while making his way through the New York City streets on the Tuesday morning. Bradley dressed casually in a white long-sleeve T-shirt, a pair of gray pants and black sneakers. He also wore a pair of sunglasses to shield his eyes from the sun.

Since the split, Bradley has been keeping himself busy. Prior to the low-key trip to New York City, the American Sniper star enjoyed a night out with his friends in Los Angeles on June 11. An eyewitness told Us Weekly he “looked good” and “seemed like he was just having a laid-back night.”

Although their relationship ultimately ended, a source told In Touch the former lovebirds were apparently “on the verge of splitting for months.” The insiders explained that the two have “tried to make it work for the sake of their daughter,” but the reality is that they “both have busy lives and careers, which has made the process very long and drawn out.”

It also seems apparent that their disconnect was to blame for the current status of the relationship. The source revealed that the model and her former beau reportedly “never had a strong foundation to begin with” and have “very little in common.”

Their breakup may have been confirmed on June 6, but a source revealed that Bradley and Irina are doing whatever they need for their baby girl. “They split but she is still staying at his house for now,” a separate insider told the outlet at the time. “It’s complicated because of the baby.”

Months before Bradley — who is yet again donning his favorite shirt from n:philanthropy, the Mason Long Sleeve Henley — and Irina called it quits, the actor got candid about living out his dream of becoming a father.

“I guess having a child, and having a family of my own — which is a miracle and something I’ve always dreamt of — has opened me up even more, I guess, to the day, and to be present,” the father of one told NPR’s Morning Edition in September 2018. Aww!
