Not only is Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s royal baby, their son Archie, finally here, but the parents-of-one officially released the first photographs of their baby boy on Wednesday, May 8 — just two days after he was born.

In the super cute snaps, Archie looks like his dad when he was a baby. If you recall, Harry’s mom, Princess Diana, debuted him on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital a few hours she gave birth in September 1984. For the pics, she donned a gorgeous red jacket that made her stand out next to her then-husband, Prince Charles, who wore a classic navy blue suit.

However, in the first royal portraits that Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, released of their child, they aren’t pictured standing outside of St. Mary’s Hospital in London like Diana and Charles did. Instead Prince Harry is seen holding sweet little baby Archie while Meghan leans in close to him for the photo at Windsor Castle.

As you can tell, this is very different from the first snaps that were taken of Diana and Harry, because she is the one who is seen cradling her baby in her arms. Charles isn’t holding him. By carrying Archie in his arms, Prince Harry and Meghan made a statement that they want to do things their own way in the royal family.

Meghan also didn’t pay homage to Diana with her outfit like Kate Middleton did when she welcomed Prince Louis in May 2018. Instead of her sporting something red, she and Harry decided to wear two light colored outfits for their photo op. According to USA Today, Meghan wore a beautiful white trench coat dress by Grace Wales Bonner and Harry opted to wear a gray suit with a blue tie to pay homage to their baby boy.

Though the couple haven’t given us any hints that they’ll welcome more babies in the future, we’re already hoping for another Baby Sussex.
