Allison Janney Is Not Taking Sides in Anna Faris and Chris Pratt’s Split
She’s spilling the tea! In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Mom star Allison Janney opened up about her co-star Anna Faris’ shocking split from Chris Pratt. The pair announced their separation last month after eight years of marriage and share a five-year-old son together, Jack.
“She’s a very courageous and strong girl and very professional and I love her so much, as do[es] everyone. And we love Chris too. We love them both. It’s sad when, you know, people who have to go separate ways, but we support them both and love them both very much,” Allison said.
The former couple released a statement at the time, which read, “[We] are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
However, there may still be hope for the couple to reconcile, as a source previously revealed to Life & Style that the stars were seeing a counselor. “It’s the first time they’ve ever been in counseling together and it only happened after they split. They have committed to it. They are trying to keep the pressure low by doing it out of the spotlight, but there is still a lot of love between them,” they explained.
“Anna and Chris are still living together and are handling things the best way possible. Friends and family really hope they can work it out. They’ve been focusing on how to make family time a priority.”
The couple first met in 2007 on the set of Take Me Home Tonight. At the time, The House Bunny star was still married to Ben Indra. This was Chris’ first marriage, though he was romantically linked to Emily VanCamp from 2004 until 2006.
