Kelly Ripa Hilariously Trolls Husband Mark Consuelos for Not Taking Her to the 2019 Met Gala — Watch!
TV personality Kelly Ripa was in for quite a night when her husband, Mark Consuelos, and their son, Joaquin Consuelos, took her to the Grapple at the Garden wrestling match in New York City instead of the 2019 Met Gala.
“We’re about to own this Met Gala!” Kelly, 48, said to Joaquin in a video she posted to Instagram on Monday, May 6. In the hilarious clip, Kelly kept talking about how excited she is to go to the Met Gala even though Mark, also 48, and their son, 16, told her they won’t be attending this year.
“Honey, I think we’re going in the wrong direction,” Kelly said while sitting in the back seat of a taxi. “It’s in the opposite [direction].” Mark then turned to his lovely wife and said, “To the Met Gala? We’re not going to the Met Gala.”
“What are you talking about? We’re in camp. We’re dressed like campers!” Kelly hilariously responded while referencing the Met Gala’s theme this year: “Camp: Notes on Fashion.” However, when they finally arrived to their destination, Kelly shared another video of herself looking very confused because she and her family were nowhere near the star-studded event.
“This does not look like the Met. Where are all the people?” she asked Mark. But when they finally took their seats by the boxing ring she finally came to terms that she won’t be walking the iconic red carpet at the Gala this year. “I’m not going to lie,” she told Joaquin. “I’m starting to think we’re not at the Met Gala.”
Instead of arguing, Joaquin just flashed Kelly a smile as they eagerly waited for the match to start. “I got to tell you,” Kelly joked to Mark after the match got underway. “This is the best Met Gala ever! This is the most exciting [event] ever!”
Glad you had a great time, Kelly!
