The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge aren't the only royals expecting a new addition!
American supermodel Kendra Spears, 25, and her husband, Prince Rahim Aga Khan, 42, announced they are expecting their first child in an official statement earlier today.
"Expressing his greatest happiness, Mawlana Hazar Imam [Prince Rahim's father] informed the Jamat today that Prince Rahim and Princess Salwa are expecting their first child. Around the world, Ismailis are gathering in Jamatkhanas to celebrate the happy news," the statement read.
The model earned the royal title of Princess Salwa when she and her husband, the eldest son of billionaire His Highness Aga Khan IV, exchanged vows in a traditional Muslim ceremony in August 2013 at Switzerland's Bellerive Castle after a four-month engagement.
Often referred to as the "next Cindy Crawford," Kendra earned a B.A. in sociology from the University of Washington and has landed several modeling gigs since her introduction to the fashion industry in 2008.
Prince Rahim — who ranks as one of the wealthiest people in the world with a reported $800 million fortune — similarly obtained a U.S. degree from Brown University before attending business school in Barcelona, Spain.
The couple were reportedly introduced by model Naomi Campbell, a friend of the Seattle-born beauty who has modeled for high-fashion designers including Diane von Furstenberg, Prada Chanel, Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy, among others.
