Talk show host Kelly Ripa always looks fit and fabulous, so fans of the TV personality always wonder: what does she eat? Truth is, she doesn’t keep the weight off by chowing down on pizza and pasta, but her diet seems pretty achievable to the average Joe.

Is Kelly Ripa a vegetarian?

Not officially, as Kelly has admitted in the past that she enjoys chicken. However, the 47-year-old has been very open about her healthy diet in the past, and it doesn’t include a lot of meat. “I eat a very clean diet. I have lots of vegetables, I eat protein, but I really don’t put a ton of thought into it. It’s everything you’ve read about or heard about in any diet book — don’t eat too much crap, and I don’t,” Kelly told ABC News. “If that’s the secret, then that’s the secret!”

She starts off her day by skipping breakfast before appearing on her show, Live With Kelly and Ryan. “I never eat breakfast until after the show. I can’t seem to focus my mind if my stomach is digesting,” she once told Bon Appetit. “At the host chat desk, I’ll have a triple shot skim latte. I usually have my yogurt and granola after the show. I find that if I eat beforehand, I’m just making digesting sounds.”

The mom-of-three has also tested out the alkaline diet (a diet where you only eat foods with low acid). “I like to drink coffee. I occasionally will have fish. The alkaline diet is primarily a vegan diet, but I like cream in my coffee. I like to have a glass of wine,” Kelly once told People. “So I don’t adhere to it strictly, but when I do a cleanse, it will be seven days, and then I go back to my normal life. But my normal life is not that different than the alkaline cleanse.”

She does her best to stay clear of unhealthy foods as well. “I try not to have too much cheese or too many high-fat foods, even though I love them,” she previously told Good Housekeeping. “I would love nothing more than to have pizza and french fries every day, but I try to limit those treats to once a week.” Her one guilty pleasure? “I always have Pepperidge Farm Goldfish. I cannot give them up.” Neither can we, Kelly!
