Though Live With Kelly and Ryan stars Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest loved being front and center on TV together, he announced he was leaving the talk show in February 2023. Being a part of the series for six years contributed heavily to Ryan’s massive net worth.

“This is something that [Kelly] and I have been talking about for a long time, and it was a tough, tough decision. Last year we spoke, and I made the decision to make this my last season as cohost,” he said of ending his run on the show. 

The pair clearly had a great relationship and awesome chemistry that made fans love them. “They are very in sync with each other,” a source exclusively told Closer Weekly in December 2017. “With Ryan, Kelly feels like she’s met her match. She says this has been the best [time] she’s had on the show since she joined [in 2001].”

On the set of Live With Kelly and Ryan, which the radio personality became a part of in 2017, the All My Children actress always felt “like Ryan has her back,” a second insider shared with Closer. “Working day-to-day has been a learning and growing experience for both of them.”

Considering they spent tons of time together on the beloved talk show, Kelly and Ryan are extremely close on a personal level. “They talk to each other about their lives,” the source shared. “They’ve even cohosted a Halloween party [in the past].”

The Emmy Award winner dished the “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” host also shares a tight bond with her husband, Mark Consuelos, who was officially announced as Ryan’s replacement. In fact, the longtime couple’s three kids, Michael, Lola and Joaquin, will sometimes run to Ryan for advice.

“He does intel with my kids,” Kelly explained to People in February 2020. “He doesn’t betray their confidences, but he will give me a heads up if there’s something going on because they don’t think of him as an adult … he’s one of them.”

Ryan is even the actress’ go-to guy for when she’s out of town. “He will do things for me if I’m traveling,” Kelly dished. “I can ask him to go inside my house … and go bring my retainer out of the medicine cabinet and bring it to the remote.”
