Susan Sarandon ‘Supports’ Daughter Eva Amurri During Divorce From Husband Kyle Martino
Everyone was shocked when Eva Amurri announced that she and her husband, Kyle Martino, were divorcing after eight years of marriage — especially since the pair is expecting their third child together. Luckily for Eva, 34, she has mom Susan Sarandon with her through all the ups and downs.
“She supports Eva 100 percent,” an insider tells Closer Weekly in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now about how the Dead Man Walking star, 73, is being there for her daughter during this trying time.
“Susan knew Eva and Kyle were having problems,” the insider added — but that wasn’t exactly the case for everyone as the news surprised many fans and followers. “They seemed to be living the perfect life.”
Eva and Kyle, 38, married in on October 29, 2011, and they have two children together — daughter Marlowe, 5, and son Major, 3. With baby No. 3 on the way — expected to arrive in the spring of 2020 — it’s good that the couple are planning to go through their breakup as friends and coparents.
“Our family is starting down a new path,” Eva began writing in the post announcing the split on Friday, November 15. “After a lot of thoughtful consideration, and work on our relationship, we have made the difficult decision to lovingly part ways as a couple. We are committed to, and excited about, raising our three beautiful children as close friends and deep partners, and we have the utmost respect for one another.”
“We feel so grateful for the wonderful gifts we have created and received throughout our decade together,” Eva added. “We have realized over time that the best path to happiness for us as a family is in this different direction, and we look forward to forging ahead in to a new beautiful relationship. We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate this new transition for our family. All the love, Eva & Kyle.”
We’re thankful that Eva and Kyle are being amicable — and we’re sure Susan is too!
