It’s about time! On Wednesday, Aug. 22, America’s favorite TV judge, Simon Cowell, 58, got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Just a week later, the TV star was honored for the achievement on his show America’s Got Talent. But the moment was all about Simon. His son, Eric, 4, ended up stealing the show!

The young boy ran up to the judges’ table to sit with his famous dad at his mic after the show played a highlight clip with interviews from AGT winners, Camila Cabello, Louis Tomlinson, and his fellow AGT judges, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mendel honoring Simon.

“What do you wanna say to daddy?” host Tyra Banks asked the precocious toddler. And his response was priceless! “I’m the biggest star ever!” Eric — who also appeared in the video saying, “I love you, daddy!” — adorably gushed with such cute confidence. Simon went on to thank everyone for the tribute while Eric still tried speaking into his muted microphone.

“That probably was the best feeling, actually being alive when getting the star, it was great,” he said. “I have to tell you, it was one of the best days of my life ever. I’m very grateful.”

Also at the actual event last week, Simon’s lookalike also posed for pics with his dad — and we still can’t get over how grown up the tot looked in the new pics!

After receiving his star, Simon took lots of snapshots with his family, which includes Eric, his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, and Lauren’s son, Adam Silverman, 12. During his speech, Simon sweetly said, “[Lauren], you’ve been my rock for the past few years. Now I’m looking down at this [star]. It is so surreal I cannot tell you!”

A few A-listers that were spotted at the ceremony included Heidi Klum, Mel B, and American Idol‘s Season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee with her new fiancé, David Foster. Idol‘s very first winner, Kelly Clarkson, also attended the heartwarming event and gave a speech about how much of an inspiration Simon has been for her.

“So many careers that you’ve been the kick-start for — and they’re all so different — have come through this man over the years,” she shared. “He appreciates authenticity even if it’s not something he’s into. He appreciates you being yourself. That’s very rare in this industry.”

She added that Simon is “honest and supportive” and, “he’s the best friend you can ever have.” Kelly later posted a few pics of herself and Simon together on Instagram and noted how great it was to meet him on the show that made her a star. “16 years later and I’m still a fan of this man ?Congrats on your star, Simon,” she captioned the sweet pics.

At the ceremony, Simon thanked everyone who made him who he is today. He began by thanking the TV networks that put his shows on the air and the fans that watched them. He then thanked his partner, Lauren, for always standing by his side and lastly his family and friends for their continued support.

“It’s been a blast the last 18 years. If anyone says fame is a bad thing, I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s the best thing in the world. Thank you all of you for turning up and making this happen,” he said.
