Ricky Martin Gushes About Life At Home With New Baby Lucia At 2019 Golden Globes: ‘It’s All Beautiful’
Such a proud papa! During The HFPA Presents: Globes Red Carpet LIVE show at the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 6, singer Ricky Martin couldn’t help but gush about his and his husband Jwan Yosef’s new baby girl, Lucia Martin-Yosef, and how their lives have changed now that they’re parents to a daughter.
“She was born 12 days ago — the day of my birthday, actually, she was born. Super cool,” Ricky said about the couple’s little bundle of joy. “We’re starting all over again and I have a beautiful husband who’s taking care of my baby right now. It’s all beautiful.”
On New Year’s Eve, Ricky was so happy to announce that he was now a dad-of-three via Instagram. He shared a cute pic of his daughter’s tiny hands and captioned the image, “We are beyond happy to announce that we have become parents to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, Lucia Martin-Yosef. It has been a special time for us and we can’t wait to see where this stellar baby will take us. Both her beautiful brothers, me, and Jwan have fallen in love with Lucia ❤.”
In a previous interview with Extra, Ricky explained that his new baby was “a big surprise for a lot of people” because he wanted to keep Lucia’s birth “really quiet.” But once his daughter was born, Ricky decided to share the exciting news and gushed that his little girl has only made him happier. “Since my twins were born, I wanted Daddy’s little girl. I want a big family, we want a big family, it’s been beautiful,” he said. “We’re only starting.”
Since Jwan was at home taking care of Lucia and Ricky’s 10-year-old twin sons, Valentino and Matteo Martin — who he is also helping to raise — on the night of the Golden Globes, Ricky ended up walking the red carpet solo. He stunned in a slim-fit black suit with a simple black bowtie and gorgeous leather shoes at the special event.
