There may be a new James Bond in town, and we’re pretty sure we know exactly how Daniel Craig feels about it! In a hilarious pic taken at the 76th Annual Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 6, Daniel and his potential James Bond successor Idris Elba snapped a selfie.

“Not to add to the fire but… play nice guys,” Idris’ fiancée, Sabrina Dhowre, wrote in the caption. In the pic, Daniel, 50, glared at the actor while Idris, 46, nervously looked over his shoulder. See the hysterical pic below!

Daniel doesn’t have to worry about Idris replacing him as the British secret agent just yet considering he confirmed in August 2017 that he’ll play the iconic role one last time in the 25th 007 film. The news came as a surprise to James Bond fans after Daniel once said he’d “rather slash [his] wrists” than return to the part after playing Bond in 2006’s Casino Royale, 2008’s Quantum of Solace, 2012’s Skyfall, and 2015’s Spectre, according to Us Weekly.

“We’ve just been trying to figure things out,” he admitted to Stephen Colbert at the time. “I always wanted to [return]. I needed a break … I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”

Perhaps playing the lead role in James Bond has always been a dream for Idris who once teased the idea on Instagram. “My name’s Elba, Idris Elba,” he wrote in August 2018. However, the speculation was shut down when he was later asked by ITV if he was being considered for the next 007, to which he replied, “No.”

Even though Daniel needed a break before filming his final hooray in the James Bond saga, we imagine the upcoming time apart from his family will be much different. The hunky actor welcomed a baby girl with his wife, Rachel Weisz, on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018. Since the birth of the couple’s first child together, Daniel has reportedly been over the moon. “Daniel’s gone from sexy James Bond to Mr. Mom, and he’s loving every minute of it,” a source told Life & Style in November.

We hope Daniel is making most of his time off considering filming for Bond 25 begins in March!
