Regis Philbin, 87, Looks Fit As He’s Spotted in Beverly Hills — See the Pics!
He may not make many TV appearances these days, but it seems like Regis Philbin is using his free time to hit the gym, and it shows as he was spotted taking a walk through Beverly Hills while looking great.
The 87-year-old was recently seen on a stroll with a pal not looking his age at all. Take a look below!
The former Who Wants to Be a Millionaire host has been living his best life during retirement, especially since he was working on television since the 1950s. “My health today is great!” he once exclusively told Closer Weekly. He continued, “I’m doing everything I can to stay healthy in my retirement, and thanks to my diet and exercise regimen and daily statin medication, I’m able to enjoy life without the worry of having high cholesterol.”
The Live! alum added, “Staying healthy allows me the freedom to travel between my home in New York and California, where [my wife Joy Philbin] and I travel frequently to spend time with our two daughters. I also continue to play tennis, and I follow the stock market to keep my mind sharp. I am overall more conscientious of my health because of my past experiences with heart disease.” It’s clear Regis is doing his best to stay healthy and fit these days following triple bypass surgery in 2007.
“Before my first surgery, I wasn’t very disciplined when it came to my diet, but that all changed when I had my first heart scare and my doctor discovered my high cholesterol,” he explained. “I knew I had to make some pretty major lifestyle changes right away, including giving up the cheeseburgers and oatmeal raisin cookies that I loved so much.” He added, “Today, I stick to a heart-healthy diet — mostly chicken and vegetables for weekly dinners.”
We’re just so happy to see that Regis is looking and feeling great at his age!
