In a Las Vegas spring wedding on May 1, 1967, Priscilla Presley said I do to one of the great musicians of all time, Elvis Presley. And while the ceremony seemed perfect, there was something that the bride wasn’t exactly a fan of: her dress.

“She was so in love with Elvis, so the memories are special, magical in fact. She was too young, but she has warm feelings about that day,” an insider exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “She doesn’t talk about it much, but she wasn’t a huge fan of that dress, she loved the veil and her makeup, but the dress wasn’t as shapely as she would have liked. I don’t think she saved it.”

The famous couple called it quits in 1973 after six years, but they never shut the door on their friendship. “They were growing apart. She had immense love for Elvis, but things were changing. He knew Priscilla had to spread her wings. They remained friends for the rest of his life,” the source reveals.

The pair went on to have one daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, and spend their time at their home, Graceland. Even after the “King of Rock and Roll” passed away in 1977, Priscilla still looked over their house and the property, founding the Elvis Presley Enterprises. The residence is now a museum, where thousands of fans from all over the world visit — a film was even shot there recently.

“She loves the fans that come visit Graceland, and she loved the Hallmark movie Wedding At Graceland,” the insider continues. “She says Elvis would have approved of the movie. She’s still has some input on things [in her company], just not as officially as she did in the past.”

It’s wonderful to see how much Priscilla kept the man she adored for many years in her memories.
