It’s been over more than years since Nicole Kidman‘s father, Antony Kidman, passed away, and the Big Little Lies actress is still mourning the loss of her beloved “Papa.” On Monday, Dec. 10, Nicole took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of her dad and pay tribute to Antony on what would have been his 80th birthday.

“Today would have been my Papa’s 80th Birthday. Miss you, Papa, love you so much,” the 51-year-old captioned the photo. Antony sadly died at age 75 in September 2014 from a heart attack.

On the same day that Nicole shared the birthday tribute to her father, the Destroyer star honored his memory by donating $500,000 to charity. As Human Rights Day fell on her late dad’s birthday, the actress spent the day speaking at the luncheon for the United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women.

“I’ve met survivors who’ve experienced the most unspeakable violence,” Nicole, a UN Women’s Goodwill Ambassador, said in her speech. “Yet through the UN Trust Fund, I’ve seen them overcome their pain and regain their courage to look towards the future.”

Following her speech at the UN luncheon, Nicole posted an Instagram story thanking those who raised money to end violence against women. She also pointed out that her father would be proud. “My papa was such an advocate for human rights,” Nicole said. “It also happens to be his birthday today. Happy Birthday, Papa, I miss you.”

Back in 2014, Nicole and her husband, Keith Urban, sent the following message to her fans after Antony’s sudden death: “We would just like to thank everyone for their love and prayers over these past couple of weeks. We are all heartbroken, but knowing we are in the hearts and thoughts of others is so comforting.” We’re sure Nicole’s father would be so dang of her career, accomplishments, and beautiful family today.
