Are you anxiously hoping that HBO will renew Big Little Lies for a third season? Well, if you are, then you might get your dreams crushed because Nicole Kidman thinks that the show won’t be renewed for a third season. In a new interview with Variety, she explained why she thinks the show will end after Season 2.

“I think it would simply be hard to get the whole group together,” she said. Nicole, who plays Celeste Wright in the award-winning drama, appears to be ready to move on to her next project. And, according to a new Life & Style report, the 51-year-old star is already on to bigger and better things.

“Nicole doesn’t need the money and [she] has already won an Emmy award,” an insider said about Nicole’s Big Little Lies paycheck. “She’s ready to move forward and focus on other projects.”

Though Nicole is already thinking about her next big role, her co-stars, on the other hand, “would love to film another season,” the source said. But even if the show could possibly return for a third season, how much more interesting would it be without Nicole? “Right now, everything is up in the air,” the source noted.

Big Little Lies Season 2 is set to premiere on HBO in 2019. While previously talking about her new storyline on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Nicole accidentally spilled the beans about her young daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, making a cameo appearance in the series.

“They were extras in Big Little Lies, which I’ve never told anyone,” she said to Ellen, and added jokingly, “There I am now being a big mouth.” It might be a little bit shocking that Nicole’s daughters will be on the show since she previously said that she doesn’t like them watching Big Little Lies. “I’m like, ‘No, no, no,’” she revealed in another interview earlier this year. We’re definitely hoping for more BLL episodes in the future and hope Nicole is a part of them!
