Luke Perry’s Kids, Sophie and Jack, Are Returning to Normal Lives Just a Month After Dad’s Death
Just a month after Luke Perry died, his children are continuing on with their lives and trying to honor him with everything they do.
Luke’s daughter, Sophie Perry, has returned to Africa — where she was prior to her dad’s sudden passing at the age of 52 on March 4. The 18-year-old shared a photo of herself wearing Luke’s hat from Riverdale and revealed how she is feeling these days.
“First few days back in Malawi have been very emotional but it feels right to come back, to finish what I started, to do the most with whatever time we have left,” Sophie wrote. “I recently learned that may not be as much time as we think. It was quick and scary to be home again so soon, but there’s a job to be done, and someone to make proud.”
This comes after Sophie paid tribute to her father soon after he died just days after a massive stroke. She also praised her mom — Luke’s ex, Rachel “Minnie” Sharp — for being a “rock” for the family. Despite all the support she got after the late Beverly Hills, 90210 star’s death, Sophie has also had to shut down the haters who were spouting negativity online.
Luke’s son, Jack Perry, has also taken steps to get back out there and get things back to normal. The 21-year-old, best known by his wrestling alter-ego “Jungle Boy,” has officially returned to the ring.
“I’m not sure I’ll ever be ready, but I’m back. Thanks for all the love and support,” Jack, whose mom is also Minnie, captioned an Instagram video of him in character. According to Jack’s geotag, he was at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Ever since the beloved actor passed away, those who knew him best have been publicly mourning. Given Sophie and Jack’s busy lives, it remain unseen whether or not these two will be at Luke’s private memorial service on April 13. That said, it’s clear they love and miss their dad very much.
We wish Sophie and Luke the best of luck as they get their lives back to normal.
