Married couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos will be developing true crime shows, as they have signed a development deal with the TV network Oxygen.

“I have been a loyal Oxygen viewer ever since I stumbled upon my very first Snapped marathon that Sunday while making meatballs,” the 48-year-old TV host said in a statement. “Not only have I learned how to commit the perfect crime and dispose of the body, I’ve also learned what the viewers of Oxygen want and that’s why this programming partnership makes perfect sense.”

Under the deal, according to The Wrap, the pair will help develop a slate of unscripted true crime series — the network recently rebranded in 2017 and have been all about this genre.

“Working with super fans like Kelly & Mark is a dream come true for a true crime network,” Cori Abraham, the senior vice president of development, production and international media at Oxygen, said. “They’re both passionate about true crime, and we want to be in business with those who eat, sleep and breathe the genre.”

The duo are no strangers to working behind the scenes — they already have a company called Miloji Productions, and the upcoming crime shows will be under this banner.

The Live With Kelly and Ryan host and her husband, 48, have been married since 1996 and they share four kids — Michael, 21, Lola, 17, and Joaquin, 16. “I’m crazy about my wife,” the Riverdale actor once gushed to Fox News. “It’s nice to be married to your best friend.”

“She’s also really patient and really tolerant,” he continued. “I think that’s a big key to the success of our long [marriage]. We’ve been married forever!”

“We don’t take anything seriously or to heart,” Mark explained. “Luckily, most of the people are great and we really don’t focus on the negative stuff. There’s too much positive stuff to focus on. If we do respond, it’s always with humor. My wife’s one of the funniest people I know.”

We can’t wait to see what new shows this awesome couple helps develop!
