Body Language Expert Says Kate Middleton Was ‘Keeping Her Distance’ From Meghan Markle at Recent Event (Exclusive)

Trouble in palace paradise?! According to body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass, there was a lack of connection between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle when the two duchesses attended a celebration honoring Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, March 5.

“Kate was keeping her distance from Meghan,” Dr. Glass revealed to Closer Weekly in an exclusive new interview, on newsstands now. “There is no love lost between them.”  The two women, both 37, stepped out for the event alongside their husbands — Prince William and Prince Harry, respectively — to celebrate Charles holding the title of Prince of Wales for 50 years.

Queen Elizabeth hosted the special gathering for her son, but it was her two granddaughters-in-law that she kept a close eye on. According to a source close to the royal family, Her Majesty hoped to use the celebration as a reason for a civil reunion for Kate and Meg, who haven’t seen each other since Christmas.

“Setting a good example is at the top of the queen’s list of priorities,” a royal insider revealed to Closer. “Everyone was very civil, but William and Kate worked the room separately from Harry and Meghan.” Elizabeth has dealt with bigger family scandals throughout her reign as the monarch, but the 92-year-old is ready to put the alleged feud to bed. The source added: “The British newspapers are delivered to the queen every morning. She’s growing tired of reading about Meghan and Kate’s rift and is doing everything in her power to sort it out.”

Rumors of their supposed royal rivalry started to heat up when the two beauties reportedly got into the thick of it during a fitting for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid gown that she wore to Meghan’s May 2018 wedding to Harry. “Meghan is determined to do things her way, even if it means breaking protocol,” the source dished. Plus, the duchesses’ personalities couldn’t be any more different. “Kate is easygoing,” the source noted, while “Megan is a perfectionist.”

Even though Meg and Kate may not see eye-to-eye on everything, Elizabeth is hoping they’ll reconcile sooner rather than later. “The queen is confident that she’ll be able to get Kate and Meghan back on track,” the insider continued. “It’s just not going to happen overnight.”
