Royal family members are no stranger to holding prestigious titles, but they aren’t against calling each other sweet nicknames either! Princess Charlotte calls great-grandma Queen Elizabeth “Gan-Gan,” Prince William refers to Kate Middleton as “poppet” and Prince Harry goes by a nickname every single day considering his real name is Henry.

Like her mom, Charlotte has also been referred to as “poppet” before. But during a royal outing in Northern Ireland on Wednesday, February 27, a Belfast-based blogger named Laura-Ann attended an event at Windsor Park Stadium and revealed the adorable moniker that the Duchess of Cambridge has for her 3-year-old daughter — she calls her Lottie!

The confession came about when the Irish blogger and her 2-year-old son, George, went to go see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. To her surprise, Laura-Ann was able to briefly chat with Kate at the event, who then revealed the adorable nickname she calls her little tot. Recalling the special interaction, Laura-Ann recently shared a series of videos to Instagram and explained the adorable situation.

“Hello, what’s your name?” the royal beauty can be heard asking in the video of Kate meeting Laura-Ann and her son. “Hi George, what a cool name you’ve got, and you look very smart in your bow tie. It’s very nice to meet you.” Although the video cuts out, the blogger explained that Kate asked how old her son was before unexpectedly revealing Charlotte’s nickname. “I said is he is 4 and she said, ‘Oh, he’s the same age as Lottie’ — she calls her Lottie!” Laura-Ann gushed to the camera.

During the rest of their time at the Windsor Park Stadium in Belfast, Kate and William suited up and played soccer together with some of the local school kids. The parents-of-three looked happier than ever as they were all smiles while kicking the ball around on the grass.

Apparently, though, Kate’s skills weren’t that impressive. According to The TelegraphPrince George supposedly told his mama that her subpar soccer skills wouldn’t make the cut. “Mummy, you’re so rubbish,” Kate said the 5-year-old toddler allegedly told her. “I should have picked up some tips from George,” she added. Even if Kate isn’t the best at soccer, we know she is a VIP at being a great mom!
