Party time at the palace! Kate Middleton stepped out for Queen Elizabeth‘s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, May 21. The Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles as she attended the event alongside her husband, Prince William.
The event — which has taken place since the 1860s as a way to recognize and reward public service — comes just days after Kate, 37, helped finish final touches on the “Back to Nature” garden that she helped design for the Chelsea Flower Show in London.
Around this time each year, the 91-year-old British monarch typically hosts a bunch of garden parties — around three — on the grounds of Buckingham Palace, as well as one at Holyrood Palace in Scotland. Considering Kate gave birth to Prince Louis in late April last year, the royal duchess hasn’t attended a garden party since 2017.
For her first party of the year on May 15, Elizabeth asked son Prince Charles to host, as she has been slowly handing off royal duties over the past few years. Her Royal Highness has even given several of her patronages to William, 36, Prince Harry and Kate.
Elizabeth’s next palace garden party is expected to take place on May 29, while her shindig at the Palace of Holyrood will occur on July 3. Scroll down below to check out pics of Kate and William at the latest garden party below!
