Everything is being tried to end the alleged feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, and this time around board games were the next item on the list of solutions.

According to The Sun, Meghan, 37, and Kate, 36, decided to play board games together on Christmas Day at Queen Elizabeth‘s Sandringham residence. The pair even teamed up to play some of them. An insider tells the outlet, “If German and British troops could put their differences to one side to play football during World War One, the feeling was Kate and Meghan could follow suit for Scrabble.” They added, “After watching the Queen’s speech, the board games were brought out and both women got stuck in.”

And perhaps the board games served as a distraction from the reported feud, as the insider also said, “Pregnant Meghan wasn’t drinking but Kate had a glass of wine or two, and everyone was in great spirits. They were chuckling along together. You wouldn’t know there was any tension between the two. It was a wonderful day and night.”

Rumors of a feud between the sisters-in-law have been going on for quite some time now, as we’ve heard everything from Meghan’s alleged “diva behavior” has caused chaos at Kensington Palace, to the Duchess of Cambridge apparently scolding Meghan and telling her to quit berating staff. In fact, it seems to have gotten so bad that it was earlier reported that the Queen even reached out to Kate to put an end to the bad blood.

“She [the Queen] sees Kate as the more experienced royal,” an insider recently told Life & Style. “During their meeting, she told Kate to resolve their differences before the situation spirals even more out of control. It takes a lot for the queen to lose her temper, but she’s reached her boiling point.” The insider added, “In the Queen’s eyes, Kate and Meghan’s feud mirrors that of a cheap soap opera. She’s embarrassed beyond belief. She can’t get her head around why they can’t just get along like adults.”

Well now that the pair were making words together, let’s hope this is the beginning of things being patched up.
