Just a few days after adopting her second child, Hoda Kotb may be considering putting her Today gig and her career on the back-burner to focus more on being a mom.

“Hoda doesn’t see her career as the be-all and end-all any longer,” a source exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “She doesn’t see herself being like Barbara Walters, still doing daily TV when she’s 75. She’s had great success writing books (four total) and that appeals to her.”

“I think you could see a day that Hoda leaves TV, or at least daily TV, by the time she’s 60. Motherhood and soaking in every joyful moment of it, means that much to her,” the insider adds.

The 54-year-old just welcomed her daughter Hope Catherine into her family and everyone is quite joyful about it. In fact, the broadcast journalist’s former sidekick, Kathie Lee Gifford, is elated about her pal’s baby. “Hoda’s a momma again. I’m thrilled about that,” the 65-year-old said on The Five. “I knew that was coming. I just didn’t know when it was coming.” It was just a few weeks ago that the TV personality left her post at Today to take another step in her career, so it may come as a total surprise that Hoda may follow suit, especially since the pair was very close.

On Kathie’s last week at the NBC news show, she gave Hoda a special parting gift. “What do I get my Hoda for 11 years of being the joy and honor of sitting next to you,” she said during the episode. “I know you love it when I give you paintings but this is by Sydney Clawson, a new friend of mine in Nashville,” she added before pulling the cloth off of a drape-covered present.

“She’s brilliant and I think you’re going to like this one, Hoda,” she added. Maybe it’s time Hoda starts thinking of goodbye gifts she may want to get her coworkers …
