Glenn Close Brought Her Dog Pip to the Spirit Awards and the Photos Are Perfect — Check Them Out!

Lady’s best friend! Glenn Close stole the show at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday, February 23. Well, her dog Pip actually reeled in all the attention as he was the actress’ date for the night, and the photos are simply amazing.

The 71-year-old attended the awards show after being nominated for Best Female Lead for her performance in The Good Wife — she also has a chance to snag the Academy Award for the same role on Sunday, February 24. But it was her dog Pip that was the talk of the night. And perhaps he was a good luck charm because the Damages alum actually won in her category.

“He’s my date,” Glenn told the audience of her dog who joined her on stage to accept the award. “I am so honored to be here with all the women in this category,” she continued, as Pip started rolling around on his back.

“What’s better than that?” Glenn asked her peers. “I brought him up for this very reason. It’s called ‘in the moment.'”
