Eva Mendes Admits That She Would ‘Absolutely’ Love to Work With Husband Ryan Gosling Again

Their real-life romance sounds like one you’d watch on the big screen and, funnily enough, it all began when Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling met on the set of 2012’s The Place Beyond the Pines. Fast-forward seven years, the Hollywood actors are now happily married with two daughters.

Even though Eva hasn’t appeared onscreen since 2014’s Lost River, the 45-year-old beauty admitted that she wouldn’t have to think twice about taking a new movie gig — even one starring her handsome hubby!

When asked by Extra if she would want to trade lines with Ryan, 38, Eva didn’t even hesitate before admitting: “Absolutely! I’m excited to go back to work, it’s just not, like, I’m dying to do a movie again. So it has to be something really special.”

Since taking some time off from acting, Eva has become the doting mama to her two daughters — Esmeralda Amada Gosling, 4, and Amada Lee Gosling, 2. The Ghost Rider actress even admitted that her parenting skills differ from The Notebook actor’s as she views herself as the more authoritative parent.

“I think I am [strict]. There’s that term ‘helicopter parent,’ but aren’t you supposed to be a helicopter parent?” Eva asked. “I’m strict about what they eat, and what they wear, and what time they go to bed. And what they watch, so yeah.”

It’s pretty obvious that Eva is an amazing mother to her kiddos, but she also loves the role, too. A source close to the pair exclusively told Closer Weekly that they’re already thinking about expanding their brood with baby No. 3!

“Eva’s radiant when she’s with her family and she’s come out of her shell a lot. Eva’s been yearning for one more and [it’s] even better that Ryan is on board,” the insider dished. “He’s happy with two [kids] but knows if he didn’t give in she’d be sulking, so he said OK and he’s glad he did. He’s pretty easygoing.”

It’s been almost three years since the brunette beauty gave birth to her last child and, since they’ve had two daughters, the source shared that Eva and Ryan are hoping for a beautiful baby boy.

“They’re definitely trying and hoping for a son this time,” the source added. “Their relationship has had its share of snags but their kids are the glue that keeps them together. They’re very excited and they feel closer than ever. The spark is back too.”
