Most people, when they have an ankle that’s in pain, do not go out and about unless they really have to. Elton John isn’t exactly most folks and proved just that when he decided to head to a museum despite an injury.

The 72-year-old music legend took to Instagram on Thursday, April 12, to share a photo of himself sitting in a wheelchair with a slight frown on his face. “Not even a sprained ankle could keep me away from seeing one of the most beautiful museums in the world,” the singer captioned the picture of himself wearing a sporty tracksuit inside the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. Take a look at the post below!

The singer’s fans of course did not hesitate to send some words of encouragement. “Aww I’m sorry, How are you going to show your fabulous dance moves now?!!” Another fan commented, “Sending love and light Sir Elton.” And one person said, “There is no containing the rocket man.” No word yet on how the hitmaker injured himself, but perhaps he will tell us in the near future — especially since he seems to be more open now that he is releasing an autobiography.

“My life has been one helluva roller coaster ride and I’m now ready to tell you my story, in my own words,” Elton captioned a video posted on Twitter on March 8, announcing the project. “I can’t wait for you to read it because it’s the truth. And so many books that have been written about me haven’t exactly been truthful. I can’t wait for you to see what I have to say about my life.”

Well, we just hope that Elton gets better soon, and if he doesn’t, at least we know that nothing will keep him from performing for his fans … or enjoying some art! Stay strong, Elton!
