She’s already a mom-of-three, but Debbie Allen just became a first-time grandma and is loving every minute of it! During an exclusive new interview with Closer Weekly, the 69-year-old star gushed about her daughter, Vivian Nixon, welcoming her first baby, daughter Shiloh Elizabeth Williams, in early February.

“One of the best days of my life was February 7 when my daughter gave birth to my first grandchild!” Debbie said at The Broad Presents the West Coast debut of Soul of a Nation: Art In The Age of Black Power 1963-1983 opening event in Los Angeles on Friday, March 22. “It was so exciting! It was hectified. Shiloh Elizabeth Williams is here and she is just the joy of our family right now.”

As for how she likes being a new grandma, the Grey’s Anatomy star revealed to Closer, “I love it! I’m enjoying it, I can’t wait to get back to her. She is everything!” When baby Shiloh was born last month, Vivian’s partner, Jazzton Williams, adorably took to Instagram to announce his little girl’s arrival.

“Me and my baby had a BABY!! On February 7th, 2019, God entrusted me and [Vivian] with the life of His beautiful angel, Shiloh Elizabeth Williams! God, we will not disappoint! We’ve been in LOVE since the pregnancy test. LOVE you Shiloh Elizabeth aka ‘Little Lady,'” the proud dad captioned a few photos of himself with Vivan and Shiloh in the hospital.

Vivian, 34, is the only daughter and second eldest of Debbie’s three children with her husband, former pro basketball player Norm Nixon, whom she’d been married to since 1984. The couple is also parents to two sons, actor DeVaughn Nixon, 35, and comedian Norman Nixon Jr., 31.

During a past exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, Debbie candidly opened up about being a mom to her three adult kids. “One of the most important things I’ve ever done was to bring these human beings into the world,” she said in November 2017. “They are good people — Norman Jr. is a comedian and a great composer who wrote most of the music for [my multi-media stage show] Freeze Frame, and Vivian [dances] in it. She is my muse!”
