Aww!Danny Fujikawa Reportedly Asks Kurt Russell For Step-Daughter Kate Hudson’s Hand In Marriage
First comes the baby, then comes the marriage? Either way, things are reportedly going extremely well for Kate Hudson and her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa. A source told Life & Style that Danny is so ready to pop the question, he apparently already asked Kate’s step-father, Kurt Russell, for his blessing.
It’s no surprise that the couple would want to make their way down the aisle, considering they have been dating since March 2017. The How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days actress and her musician beau also just welcomed their first child together.
The pair “have talked about getting married once the baby was born, but Danny still wanted to get Kurt’s approval,” the source dished. “Danny’s very traditional. He said that while he has years before their little girl starts dating, he would expect the same exact thing from her future husband.”
Kate, 39, gave birth to Rani Rose alongside her apparent soon-to-be fianceé, 32, on Oct. 2. This moment was monumental for Kate as it marked the birth of her first baby girl — something she supposedly couldn’t be more elated about. After their little bundle of joy arrived, Kate couldn’t “stop smiling,” a source told People. “She’s always wanted a daughter so this is really a dream come true,” the insider said.
Kate and Danny allegedly weren’t the only ones thrilled about welcoming a girl into their growing family. “Her big brothers are so excited,” the insider said of Kate’s sons, Bingham, 7, from her relationship with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy and Ryder, 14, from her marriage to ex-husband Chris Robinson. “They’ll be so protective and sweet to her always,” the insider added.
After analyzing Kate and Danny’s relationship timeline, we’re wondering what Kurt’s response was after Danny popped the (permission) question. The Hateful Eight star opened up at Netflix’s The Christmas Chronicles premiere on Nov. 18 about how joyful it’s been since Kate welcomed Rani. “It’s her first daughter,” Kurt told Us Weekly and other reporters. “She’s a little different with the little girl. We’re really happy that she got [a girl]… and we’re proud of Danny and the relationship.”
Looks like a “heck yes” to us! We’re so excited for Kate and Danny and look forward to the day when the couple ties the knot. Who knows, maybe Rani will even be the flower girl!
