Céline was born on March 30, 1968, in the Canadian province of Quebec. The artist, who started her successful career singing in her first language of French, rose to prominence in the 1990s and has since collected a devoted following. Many of her faithful fans took to the comments section to celebrate Céline and to wish her a happy birthday — in both English and French.

“Happy 50th, Céline??????????You are one of the most humble human beings. So kind and sincere.Your beauty shines from within and pours out on the outside. Your hubby would’ve been so proud of you. Enjoy and have a blast,” one sweet fan wrote, while another added, “Happy Birthday, Céline. Seeing you a year ago changed my life forever. I️ am so grateful for your heart and talent. Thank you. Love you!!!!”

Just last week, Céline celebrated her mother Thérèse Tanguay Dion’s 91st birthday as well. “Happy Birthday, Mom! You are an infinite source of comfort and inspiration. I love you, Céline xx,” she wrote on Instagram on March 20 alongside a cute photo of the mother-daughter duo performing a duet together.

Having been her mother’s youngest of 14 children, Céline always received her full support. In fact, she’s the one that jump-started her career. “The entire family shared the same passion: music. The parents and children even formed a group that performed concerts in the area. From her earliest childhood, Céline would join in,” the singer’s website explained. “Thérèse swiftly noted her baby’s remarkable talent. All of her children were gifted, but Céline was exceptionally so.” We wonder if she’ll be performing another duet with her mom in honor of her special day?!
