Deck the Halls! See Your Favorite Stars Wearing Ugly Christmas Sweaters
Nothing says “Happy Holidays” quite like an ugly Christmas sweater, right? Thankfully, some of your favorite A-listers — including Kate Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Candace Cameron Bure and so many more — love to throw on their, er, most interesting frocks to ~deck the halls~ with their families.
Besides ugly Christmas sweaters, celebrities also love getting into the holiday spirit by watching some of the most festive Christmas movies ever created! Take Kathy Bates, for example. She told Parade magazine that her favorite Christmas movie is It’s a Wonderful Life because it always makes her cry.
“As I got older, I always wanted to play the angel Clarence. He was the most fun. But my favorite part is when [George’s] brother, who’s in the Navy, bursts in the door at the very end and toasts George, ‘To my brother George, the richest man in town!'” the Titanic actress previously shared.
While Kathy opts for It’s a Wonderful Life, Catherine Hicks once said her go-to Christmas flick is Meet Me in St. Louis. Most notably, the 7th Heaven actress enjoys “when Judy Garland sings ‘The Boy Next Door.'”
Kristin Chenoweth revealed her favorite Christmas film is A Christmas Story, while Rachael Ray prefers Will Ferrell‘s beloved movie Elf. As much as we enjoy Elf, too, we’re going to have to side with Kristin on this one! After all, does it get any more classic than A Christmas Story?
“People keep watching it over and over,” Peter Billingsley, who played Ralphie in the film, explained to BuzzFeed in 2013. “It just doesn’t go away.” Of course, Scott Schwartz, who played Flick in the movie, agrees.
“It’s a family movie that’s about a relationship between a father and a son,” he expressed to Closer Weekly in December 2019. “It’s also a multigenerational film; if you’re 6 or you’re 78, it doesn’t matter.”
Grab your favorite ugly Christmas sweater, fire up one of these fantastic Xmas movies and enjoy the holidays just like Hollywood’s elite!
