She may not appear in many movies these days, but Catherine Zeta-Jones is still attending events and looking fabulous, and she recently hit the red carpet with her two teenaged kids.

The 49-year-old was spotted at the Wales’ National Day Gala in New York on Friday, March 1, and she brought along two dates: her son Dylan, 18, and her daughter, Carys, 15, who she shares with her husband of almost 20 years, Michael Douglas.

The actress was presented with a honorary degree from The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama while in attendance, and she accepted the honor while wearing an off-the-shoulder red dress, which included quite the floral embroidered. And while Carys is already looking like her mother, Dylan is a spitting image of his father, 74.

Catherine and her husband aren’t seen with their kids a ton in public, so this is quite the rare sight. Although the couple has a reason for that as they once revealed they try their best to keep their kids grounded. “We’ve kind of shielded them away, but they’re incredibly mature for their tender years,” the Entrapment star told ET at the time. “They get it, and that’s just a thing [where] I think that I just got lucky.”

She added, “They’ve kinda been removed from the crazy world of Hollywood or even the crazy world of Manhattan. The teenagers here in Manhattan, there’s a maturity that comes too quick I think.” And yet, their kids have admitted that they wouldn’t mind following the same road their famous parents did.

“The other night we had my son on FaceTime saying something about some role and then my daughter, who was auditioning for her school play,” the Oscar winner recalled. “I’m talking about my show, [Michael’s] talking about his show. We both went, like, ‘This is four actors at one table, it’s too much.’”

The Wall Street actor also has another son, Cameron, 40, from his first marriage to Diandra Luker.
