When Candace Cameron Bure was a co-host on The View, she made the show a little bit more entertaining and interesting than it already was. So when she announced her departure from the morning talk show in 2016, viewers were sad to see her go. We always believed that being on The View would be a hot gig for anyone, but when Candace recently appeared on The Wendy Williams Show, she said that she actually didn’t like being on the program.

“I don’t miss The View at all,” Candace, 42, told Wendy. “I love being on talk shows, I love hosting talk shows, but that was a hard job every single day, talking politics.” Though Candace realized that The View wasn’t her calling, she did get to talk about her faith on the ABC show.

“That was the easiest part for me, to be able to talk about my faith and share my faith. But I’m happy right now not to be on that show and talk about lighter topics right now,” she said.

When Candace left The View two years ago, she told the audience that was leaving to work more on her acting career. “Before I started The View, I had already had my commitments to Fuller House and my work with the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. And because of the success of those, my commitments have become even greater with those shows,” she said at the time.

“The commute of going West Coast to East Coast every single week for me has been tough on me and hard for my family as well,” Candace added. “And I want to make sure that I’m able to spend as much time with my children and invest in all the projects that I do to the fullest extent.”
