Busy Philipps Rewears Her Gorgeous Wedding Dress as She Reunites With ‘Made of Honor’ Costars — See the Pic!
Still got it, girl! 12 years after Busy Philipps married director Marc Silverstein in a beautiful wedding ceremony, she decided to dig into her closest and pull out her gorgeous wedding dress to see if it still fits — and it did!
“Yes. I really pulled out my wedding dress from 12 years ago,” she hilariously wrote via Instagram next to a side-by-side pic of herself in the gown. “It basically fit except my stupid upper rib cage which grew after my two babies. No one tells you about that s–t. But babies expand your rib cage so, just be aware. This is a PSA. #themoreyouknow #busytonight #busyyonighttv.”
However, the 39-year-old didn’t try it on for nothing. She decided to wear it on the April 10 episode of Busy Tonight to celebrate reuniting with her Made of Honor costars Michelle Monaghan and Whitney Cummings 10 years after the movie was released. Busy’s friends even wore bridesmaids dresses during her show to celebrate the occasion.
While they were reminiscing of the good ol’ days, Michelle and Whitney recalled how hard it was for Busy to plan and attend her L.A. wedding to Marc when the rom-com was being filmed in Scotland. “You were planning it literally from afar, the whole film!” Michelle said.
“Mark and I were planning a surprise wedding, I didn’t wear a ring and we didn’t want anyone to know we were getting married,” Busy told the audience. “We just had invited all of our friends to this surprise birthday party. They thought they were coming to surprise me, but the plan was always that I would show up in this dress — as you can see, it’s a real showstopper — and then we would say, ‘Surprise is on you, we’re getting married right now!’”
Even though Busy had to film Made of Honor in “the furthest place on Earth,” Whitney made sure that her friend had everything that she needed to look phenomenal on her big day. “The day before your wedding, we were shooting on an actual swamp,” Whitney recalled. “I spent most of the day holding a net over Busy’s face so that she didn’t get bug bites on her face!”
Luckily, everything turned out fine. Busy and Marc exchanged their I do’s and the rest is history!
