She has an Academy Award to her name, but Anne Hathaway still doesn’t feel too great about her attempt to match Rebel Wilson‘s Australian accent in their upcoming film, The Hustle.

“I do feel I need to apologize to Australia,” the 36-year-old told The Sunday Telegraph about a scene in which she pokes fun at her costar’s character, Penny Rust. “In that scene, my character is very annoyed with Rebel’s so she is doing a very broad harsh Australian accent.”

In the movie, out May 11, the actress plays Josephine Chesterfield, but admits that she didn’t put as much time into perfecting her character’s Aussie accent. It’s pretty clear that Anne is being quite hard on herself, but even with almost 20 years in the industry, The Princess Diaries star still thinks about the negatives.

“I did everything so wrong for so long,” she once told People. When her career was first taking off, Anne revealed she suffered from “feelings of inadequacy, insecurity and nervousness and anxiety,” but she has tried to stay on a positive route.

“I’m not big on looking back,” the brunette beauty, who is also working on a TV series titled Modern Love, also told the outlet. “But I remember 10 years ago being so scared going into the whole awards season and doing what I thought I was supposed to do, so I barely ate anything at Christmas.”

However, things turned out very well for Anne, who won an Oscar for her performance in Les Misérables. Aside from her career, The Dark Knight Rises costar is also a mother to son, Jonathan, with her husband, Adam Shulman, 38.

“I try to be nice to myself,” she once said of giving herself a break when it comes to being a mother. “I’m not big on mommy guilt. I just don’t really do it unless I really, really, really, really, really need to.”
