While Disney is successfully turning their animated classics into live-action films —  Aladdin is now playing, The Lion King is coming soon and the trailer for Mulan has been released — the studio is continuing its efforts to create live-action spinoffs of them as well. That’s going to be represented this October with Angelina Jolie reprising the title role in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

Disney describes the film as “a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after Maleficent, in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning). The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon-to-be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.” From the looks of the trailer, Angelina’s Maleficent will be tested as she faces off against Michelle Pfeiffer (Queen Ingrith).

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will be released on October 18.
