Congratulations are in order for Andy Cohen — he’s a new dad! The 50-year-old Bravo star welcomed his first child, a baby boy named Benjamin Allen Cohen, via surrogate on Monday, February 4. Following little Benjamin’s birth, Andy took to Instagram to announce the happy news and share the first photo of his adorable baby boy.

“WOW! This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen. He is 9 lbs, 2 ounces!! 20 inches!! Born at 6:35 pm PT. He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow,” the Watch What Happens Live star captioned a sweet black and white photo of himself holding baby Benjamin after his arrival.

Andy previously announced in late December that he was expecting his first child via surrogate. “I’ve always tried to be as transparent as possible about my life. I overshare and I expect everyone around me to do the same and tonight I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks time, I’m going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future,” the TV host said on his hit late night show.

He continued, “Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something I’ve wanted in my heart for my entire life and while it has taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be my most rewarding chapter yet.” Watch Andy’s baby announcement in the video below!

Before little Benjamin’s arrival, a source close to Andy told People that the TV star was so excited to become a first-time dad. “[Andy has] always had that urge to be a father, and felt like this was the right time. His parents are of a certain age, and he wants them to know his child,” the insider revealed. “He said, ‘I know I’m single, but I haven’t met anyone and I want a family. I’m ready to do this.'”

Congratulations again to Andy — we couldn’t be happier for him and his baby boy, Benjamin!
